Christiaan Boele has been connected to Werbeck singing as a leading teacher of Uncovering the Voice for almost 50 years. He currently lives in Finland and conducts singing courses, master classes, lectures, workshops, private lessons, and choirs. Christiaan has shared his vast knowledge of Werbeck singing with students in the United States, Canada, Taiwan, Thailand, Finland, Germany, France and across Europe. He also leads a touring ensemble and performs as a soloist. 

Born in Holland in 1956, Christiaan exhibited strong musicianship early in life that was a solid foundation for future study and his life’s work in music. He attended K-12th grade at the Hague Waldorf School. At eleven years old he started playing trumpet and continued his professional music studies at The Conservatory of The Hague. 

While studying at Alanus (Bonn, Germany), Christiaan met Jürgen Schriefer, who introduced him to the School for Uncovering the Voice. Schriefer himself carried on the School directly from Mrs. Valborg Werbeck Svardstrom. After 10 years of studying and apprenticeship with Schriefer, Christiaan studied opera with Christa Waltjen and Jakob Stämpfli at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen, Germany, where he gave concerts, including solo performances and as part of opera ensembles; famously performing the role of Tamino in 'The Magic Flute’ 65 times. 

His teaching career began in 1978, when Christiaan started to travel as a teacher in central and northern Europe. In 1987, Christiaan moved to Finland and started his own singing school, while continuing to teach throughout Europe. In 1998, he brought the Foundational Training series to California, and since then, has expanded his educational offerings, experience, and expertise to thousands of singers around the world.
